E-100 is the first of two 10 tier heavy tanks available for Germans. This vehicle has even stronger armor than its predecessor and even more HP. Additionally E-100 has an access to the largest cannon, heavy tanks can use: 15cm KwK 44 L/38. Role of this tank on the battlefield varies dependently on mounted cannon: with the basic equipment it can easily shoot on the medium distance and after installing second, less accurate gun, it is forced to fight at short range. Despite high numbers on paper, E-100 has many drawbacks. It is slow, has many weak points, which can be penetrated with 8 tier guns and moth cannons available for it has low penetration. Due to these fact this tank is very difficult to drive and only best players will be able to use its advantages. Beginners should avoid this vehicle, because it will be only a source of frustration and maintaining it is like bottomless pit for our credits.

Development, equipment, crew

This tank has only one module to research: 15cm KwK 44 L/38 cannon.

Preferred equipment: Gun/Shell Rammer, vertical stabilizer, Improved Ventilation.
Optional equipment: Toolbox, Enhanced Gun Laying Drive
Skills and Perks: Sixth Sense for Commander, Repair for the rest of the tankers. It is also worth to train Preventative Maintenance and clutch braking.

Weak points

Frontal armor of E-100 is very irregular – for a tank of this size it has many weak points. Most of the space is taken by front top plate and this is the only fragment with enough thickness: in the long run it is indestructible. Unfortunately, just below it we have bottom plate, which can be damaged by all tanks we encounter. Shooting at it at right angle, at 50 meters distance, we can count on the break through with all cannons of 200 mm penetration (or higher). Only at very short distance, the shooting angle is so high that hitting the bottom plate will result in ricocheting. Protection of this point is the main task of E-100 driver, because it is not only easiest way to damage our tank, but also every effective shot can set us on fire. When we manage to get closer to the enemy, we will notice further drawbacks of the giant: turret is not so resistant, as we thought. Cannons of 270 mm penetration can boldly shoot at front plate. Players with weaker cannons can aim at the lower part of the turret, right next to the hull – even cannons of 200 mm penetration can break through this point. As a driver of E-100 we have to know how to defend against such attacks. The best method is setting the turret diagonally while reloading, which increases effective frontal armor and hinder the penetration.

Side armor of E-100 is not as thick as frontal one. The turret can be penetrated at the right angle with all 8 tier cannon. The same situation is with hull, but we have to aim more or less at its middle. Too low shot won’t damage it at all and too high can ricochet on the double armor E-100 has. Setting the side at the angle makes it much harder to break through and increases chances of ricocheting.

How to play...

...as a driver of E-100?

Although a 12,8cm KwK 44 L/55 cannon allows us to fight at medium distance, we have to remember, that our vulnerable bottom front armor is very easy to hit: so we need to hide it behind a hill or any other terrain obstacle.
If we use 15cm KwK 44 L/38, we should fight in close combat, hiding our weak points and aiming at the weak armor of the enemy vehicle. This armor has very poor penetration and long reload time, thus each ricochet drastically decreases our chances to win.
This tank is very vulnerable for flank attacks and few medium tanks are able to defeat it. So when selecting the place for fight we should consider locations where our weak front and sides can be protected.
We should formerly ensure some adequate fire support. Single E-100 on the flat battlefield is very easy target to destroy.
Since this tank is very large and slow, it is an ideal target to high tier artillery. While on battlefield, we have always to look for sheltered areas.
A key to success is excellent knowledge of all vehicles in the game and their weak points. We must be aware which tanks are threat to us and which can be easily eliminated from the battle. In addition, good driver of E-100 must know at which point of the fight switch from defensive style to offensive one.

...against E-100?

The easiest method to destroy E-100 is to get rid of its support and then flank it. Alone tank is very easy target.
When driving heavy tank and fighting frontally with it, we have to keep moving to hinder its aiming. Each misses E-100 shot equals 750 HP of our durability and several seconds to aim at its weak points.
When attacking with medium tank we have to watch for enemy cannon. E-100 is able to destroy most of medium tanks in 2-3 shots, thus it is best to attack it while it reloads.
Time to repair tracks in this vehicle is very long so it is quite easy to disable it. Immobilized tank is a dead tank – concentrated fire of tank destroyers and artillery should quickly destroy it.

Maus is the second German 10 tier heavy tank. It is even slower and better armored than E-100, but it lacks the cannon choice. This vehicle works as a mobile bunker and its main task is to carry out the attacks along with support guaranteed by other vehicles. So far its armor was almost not penetrable by enemy cannons, unless they shoot at the right angle. Unfortunately, with the proliferation of the artillery and new cannons of 270 mm penetration, hard times for this vehicle came. Maus can still influence the tide of battle, especially in city fights, among ruins and narrow streets.

Weak points

Front armor of Maus is very resistant to damage, but same as with E-100, it has several weak points. The most important is bottom plate between tracks – most of 9 and 10 tier cannons is able to penetrate it, even if it is set at the slight angle. Like in other German tanks, critical hit at this point sets the vehicle on fire. Top front plate can be penetrated by shooting at the right angle with cannons of minimum 250 mm penetration, so even during the close combat Maus’s driver has to remember about setting the machine at the angle. The last vulnerable point of the tank is front of its turret: well-aimed shot with cannon of 250 mm penetration is able to break through, so after firing it is worth to set the turret at alight angle to increase effective thickness of the armor.

When attacking the tank from the side we should aim at the top half of the hull, because its lower part is protected by double armor. It is better not to risk shooting the turret side, because it has natural decline and effective armor thickness is more than given 210 mm.

How to play...

...as a driver of Maus?

During the fight at medium distance we have to remember about setting our tank at angle, hiding our bottom front plate and moving the turret after each shot.
While looking for the place to shoot from, we choose areas protected from artillery fire and also terrains, where enemy can’t flank us. With such settings Maus is very tough enemy to destroy.
When shooting at the enemy, we have to aim at its weak points. Unfortunately the only available cannon has not enough penetration value to shoot only at the whole silhouette of the opponent.
One we make enough advantage on given fragment of the frontline, it is worth to initiate an attack. Maus supported by other 9 and 10 tier tanks is very hard to stop.
Never move alone.

...against Maus?

Same as with E-100, isolation of Maus from the rest of its team makes it very easy target.
Penetration of 12,8cm KwK 44 L/55 cannon is so poor that without aiming at weak points of Maus’s armor, its shells will often ricochet. So just keep moving to prevent the enemy from good shot.
Artillery and enemy Maus are made for each other. Damaged tracks on the open field usually mean one Maus less.

T110E5 is the last American heavy tank available in the game. It can be described in two words: M103 plus. Better armor, higher fire rate, higher maximum speed, higher acceleration and smaller silhouette. It is armed with the same cannon as M103 - 120 mm M58 and uses same maneuvers, but thanks to all small amendments, is much more dangerous opponent.

T110E5 from the very beginning has elite status.

Optional equipment: Binocular Telescope, Toolbox, Camouflage Net, Enhanced Gun Laying Drive
Skills and Perks: Sixth Sense for Commander, Repair for the rest of the tankers. Then Brothers in Arms for the whole crew. If we intend to use this tank for longer, it is worth to invest into: Snap Shot, Smooth Ride and other skills which increase our efficiency in eliminating enemy vehicles.

Weak points

T110E5 has a little tougher hull than M103, but still shares all weak points with its predecessor. Weld is almost indestructible, top plate rebounds most shots and bottom plate can be penetrated by most tanks, which we encounter on battlefield. Sides and rear of the hull are weakly armored and tracks absorb most damage.

Turret of T110E5 is much smaller than the one from M103, but also more resistant. The weak point around the yoke was removed and commander’s cupola was strengthened. Despite this fact, that cupola is still the best target if we want to destroy T110E5 from the front at short distance.

Sides and rear of T110E5 are as poorly armored as ones in M103 and easy to penetrate. Locations of ammo rack and engine are standard.

How to play...

...as a driver of T110E5?

You play with this vehicle the same way as M103.
This tank is doing well in many different roles and can fight at all available distances: it works as a sniper, shoots well at medium distance if we protect its hull and is phenomenal in one-on-one clashes.
Thanks to its mobility, we can easily support medium tanks or create wolfpackswith mobile heavy tanks. T110E5 has no problem in flanking main enemy forces or carry out rallies behind enemy lines.
In the fight on medium or short distance we should always turn the turret in our enemy directions and keep moving. Thanks to that he won’t be able to shoot our weak points.
If we are forced to stationary defensive, it is always worth to set the tank at slight angle. T110E5 has very thick tracks, which can take many hits, thus protecting us against losing HP.
This vehicle is very vulnerable to artillery fire. If we do not have any cover, like ruins for example, we have to keep moving.

...against T110E5?

If the enemy drives frontally to us to force us to fight at short distance, it is worth to break his tracks and then focus on him fire from several tanks. T110E5 is perfect in one-on-one fights but group of opponents attacking him from different directions is able to quickly destroy him.
If we do not have clear advantage in HP and cannon’s caliber, we do not fight alone with T110E5. This machined is designed for such clashes and easily wins most of them. If we are forced to such duel, never shoot at tracks set at the angle – always attack the bottom front plate.
These vehicles are very dangerous in groups. When fighting them we have to focus on each vehicle alone and destroy it. T110E5, which escapes even with few HP left, can easily withdraw and carry out sniper fire.
If our self-propelled guns have clear shot, they should try to hit it. Artillery shells inflict huge damage to M103, often damaging its modules and injuring the crew.
